The different papers including in the conference Proceedings 2024 will address the key question of the conference of how to accelerate the pace of the United Nations’ Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) implementation at half-way to its finishing line and the vital role of educational institutions in driving forward the implementation of the  Agenda 2030 and its 17 SDGs. The key focus areas, but not limited on these key areas includes: status of implementation of national commitments (countries case studies); increasing the role of universities in accelerating the implementation of the Agenda 2030 and its 17 SDGs; improving public health and well-being; using Artificial Intelligence to accelerate development of poor countries not to accentuate polarization; achieving SDG: a perspective from donor countries; encouraging innovation and better use of intellectual resources in the Global South; and the impact of Covid-19, wars and conflicts across the world.
