WASD produces a number of refereed journals to spread knowledge on sustainable development around the world. Each takes a holistic view of how the natural, governmental, economic and social dimensions of our world interact — and although science, technology and SD remain the main focus, there’s no limit to the topics our journals will consider.
Our journals are genuinely international, reflected in the varied nations and cultures of our contributors as well as the topics and case studies covered. Every editorial committee we convene is international by design — the academic rigour and geographic range they bring shapes a uniquely different editorial experience.
Almost all of our journals are free of charge to institutions in developing countries. Purchasing a journal from WASD contributes directly to that access, helping a student or researcher elsewhere receive our publications at no cost.
WASD produces various refereed journals, to spread information all over the world, and to promote its aims and activities through various other partners. WASD journals are developed to provide an overview of Sustainable Development (SD) and why it is important and to provoke forward thinking on the development of a more coherent approach to solving global problems related to sustainability. In doing so, a holistic approach is used to critically examine the inter-relationship between the natural, the governmental, the economic and the social dimensions of our world and how science and technology can contribute to solutions. And although science, technology and SD are the main focus of our journals, there is no limit as to the articles/chapters that will be considered.

All our editorial committees are truly international in terms of their interests and range of specialization.
