Purpose: This paper discusses a research question that aims to fill a gap in existing literature. It focuses on how senior executives impact the success of digital transformation through their leadership styles.
Design/Methodology: The research is designed in three phases, incorporating semi-structured interviews, a qualitative survey, and follow-up interviews to gather in depth insights. The research will analyse the collected data using reflexive thematic analysis and methodological triangulation, all while being guided by four key theoretical perspectives.
Findings: The research remains at an early stage, and fieldwork not yet occurred, meaning no empirical findings are available so far. However, the expected contribution of this study is significant: a leadership assessment framework specifically tailored for executives in the UK.
Originality/Value: This research will explore how UK executives drive digital transformation success. The proposed framework also aims to establish a governance mechanism for human intelligence at the executive level.
Practical and Research Implications: The research seeks to promote decent work, support economic growth, and help build resilient infrastructure and industries.
