Abstract: As India advances toward a knowledge-based and sustainable economy, digital transformation has become critical to business competitiveness and resilience. This study explores the strategic integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Human Resource Management (HRM) within Indian organizations, aligning with the broader goals of sustainable development. Through qualitative analysis, the research maps AI applications across key HR functions—including recruitment, onboarding, performance assessment, learning and development, talent management, compensation systems, organizational culture, leadership, and compliance. Findings indicate that AI not only improves operational efficiency but also supports inclusive talent strategies, data-driven decision-making, and employee well-being—contributing to long-term organizational sustainability. The study emphasizes the evolving role of HR professionals as strategic enablers in the digital age and calls for responsible AI adoption aligned with ethical, social, and environmental standards. Future research should focus on sector-specific case studies in India to evaluate AI's impact on sustainable HRM practices and the broader business ecosystem.
