purpose: The overall objective of this paper is to share Sudan,s experience in overcoming the challenges it faces regarding the adoption of sustainable energy pathways through a novel approach, namely by the establishment of a youth incubator that encourages entrepreneurship in fields of sustainable ener- gy technologies. Design: The ideas and information presented in this paper are based on the personal experience of the author as a founding director of the incubator between2017and 2019. Findings: The main findings include identifying the envisaged success factors in the adopted management system, identifying the main challenges, and suggested recommendations. value: The value of this work is that it contributes to the discussion about the role of the incubators and entrepreneurship in achieving sus- tainable development in Sudan.
