Purpose: This paper discusses a research question that aims to fill a gap in existing literature. It focuses on how senior executives impact the success of digital transformation through their leadership styles.
Design and Methodology: The research is designed in three phases, incorporating semi-structured interviews, a qualitative survey, and follow-up interviews to gather in-depth insights. The research will analyze the collected data using reflexive thematic analysis and methodological triangulation, all while being guided by four key theoretical perspectives.
Findings: The research is still in its early stages, and no fieldwork has taken place, which means we are not reporting any empirical findings yet. However, the expected contribution of this study is significant: a leadership assessment framework specifically tailored for executives in the UK.
Originality and Value: This research will explore how UK executives drive digital transformation success. The proposed framework also aims to establish a governance mechanism for human intelligence at the executive level.
Practical and Research Implications: The research seeks to promote decent work, support economic growth, and help build resilient infrastructure and industries.
