Youth as a catalyst for peace building, Ajak Kou Ajak

Abstract: This presentation explores the pivotal role of youth as catalysts for peacebuilding in South Sudan, a nation where the majority of the population is under 30 and deeply affected by the legacy of war. It highlights the severe challenges faced by young people, including displacement, loss of education, unemployment, and vulnerability to violence. The presentation also emphasizes the transformative power of youth engagement with two examples of successful youth led activities. In the presentation, solutions and way forward to lasting peace were included.
