Purpose: This chapter explores how human capacity development can serve as the foundation for Sudan's sustainable post-war reconstruction, aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Design: This chapter analyzes the impact of war on Sudan's human capital, governance, and economy and proposes a sustainable framework for rebuilding education, workforce skills, and institutional structures.
Findings: Key strategies include investing in green economy education, sustainable employment creation, governance reforms, and sector-specific innovations in healthcare, agriculture, and renewable energy sectors. Leveraging international cooperation and diaspora engagement can accelerate this progress.
Value: By integrating technical and vocational education, green job creation, and institutional strengthening, Sudan can rebuild its workforce and foster climate-resilient economic growth, transitioning from crisis to long-term stability and prosperity.
