Purpose: This chapter examines the intersection of gender and climate change in Sudan amid ongoing conflict and recovery efforts. It addresses these issues simultaneously in building a resilient and sustainable future.

Design: The analysis is grounded in the context of Sudan's social, political, and environmental challenges caused by decades of instability. It draws on existing literature to propose actionable strategies that integrate gender equality and environmental sustainability as interconnected pathways to resilience.

Findings and Value: Women, particularly those in rural and conflict-affected areas, are disproportionately impacted by climate change and war-related gender inequalities. Despite these challenges, they play a pivotal role in climate adaptation and peacebuilding, making their inclusion essential for achieving Sudan’s long-term resilience.

Practical Implications: This chapter provides actionable insights for policymakers and practitioners by integrating gender-responsive climate policies into national and regional frameworks can strengthen efforts to rebuild conflict-affected societies, enhance climate resilience, and promote sustainable development.
