Asian region has always been considered as a prudent centre for investment particularly by United Kingdom, Japan and the United States of America. During last couple of years, FDI has become an imminent factor for the Asian countries, may be in the face of globalisation and financial crisis of 1997. This paper reviews the changing pattern of FDI in Asian region in context to the Asian Financial Crisis of 1997. It also assesses the role of FDI in the growth of the economies of Asian region. The study attempts to test the variance level of FDI among the sample countries especially after the financial crisis. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) and the Post Hoc Tests are applied to see further where exactly variance lies.
