This study aimed to determine the effect of Goldplan insecticide on soil bacteria and identify the most efficient Gold plan degrading bacteria. The soil was sampled from sham bat area, khartoum state, Sudan. Analysed for the chemical and physical properties. The soil was divided into 3 beakers with different concentrations of the above mentioned pesticide. The study revealed that Goldplan insecticide has a remarkable inhibiting effect on the growth of the soil bacteria according to the concentrations of the pesticide applied. The ident ifed bacteria from the experiment was Bacillus sp.
