Abstract: the purpose of this presentation is to showcase a comprehensive plan for transforming Sudanese Gum Arabic area to a land of sustainable productivity. However, due to the similarity to some extent between Brazil & Sudan in climate and other parameters, the Brazilian experience in agroforestry systems (Example: Water eyes farm) is possible to be transferred to the area of Sudan’s Gum Arabic belt, but with careful adaptation to local conditions. The Brazilian system of this farm focuses on water management and sustainable land use, could offer valuable lessons for improving the production of Gum Arabic area and overall land management along the belt. However, the specific plant species, climate, soil types, and socio-economic context of Sudan will require adjustments to the system for it to be successful. Gum Arabic producers deserve a better life and an income commensurate with this valuable commodity.
