Abstract: In this paper we touch on the role played by local legal frameworks in institutional innovation and sustainable global development, specifically SDG 16, Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions. The study based on a qualitative analysis of the key case studies (2024-2025) and using the ideas of the institutional and stakeholder theories examines the influence of national legislation on the transparency and increased accountability and ethical business principles. The results indicate that strong national legal frameworks are not just positive sources of national institutional strength, but also sources of best practice in international financial regulations and corporate governance. The study has limitations in terms of availability of regional data and differences in implementing capacities. The original contribution of the paper refers to the fact that it draws a direct connection between local legal innovations and sustainable global impact and stresses their presence in the building of just, accountable, and resilient societies
